I photographed the stone sculptures in the above image in order to illustrate a point namely that I construct my stone stacks in exactly the same way as I compose my writing. I collect the rocks, fit and balance them just as I find them. I do not chip them to fit, use glue, wedges or wire I let the stones find their own centers of gravity (their own space) and my God, collective unconscious or degree of fatigue lets me know when I am done. Since I want to make you properous and wealthy let's forego the 500 volumnes that could easily comprise an explaination of how I know I am done.
By now I hope it is clear that I want to help contribute to making the world a better place. The invisible hand of self-interest/free market economics is automatic even in markets where the government interferes. It can be argued that government regulation causes inefficiencies but in the long-range view it is of little importance on par with legislating morality. Of course the wasting of time and energy is tragedic but mistakes are powerful learning tools. In fact if we observe human history every mistake can be shown to be a breakthrough if human events can be accurately described as mistaken or not. Being the unteachable, delusional optimist I am I accept human activities as I see them with the underlying, prime-mover agenda that despite the apparent desire of humanity in general to destroy the planet in their quest for satisfaction of one kind or another we will survive.
Because the effects of global warming are building momentum by which I mean the powers that be despite their politics, ignorance, carelessness, greed or noble intentions can no longer avoid taking the problem seriously which is fortunate indeed. We now have the energy, motivation and time to take responsibility for our actions and begin the process of learning how to use this incredible phenomenon to our advantage. For example schools focused solely eco-friendly technologies. for example constucting ways to slow down the rising temperature of the oceans, new energy sources, floating cities, ecosports (sports that involve dealing with ecological crisis problems), entertainment that raises problem-solving skills having to do with extreme public health issues, board and computer games that involve the particpants in reaching, through discovery or invention, these enviromental changes that will improve the quality of life and promote them. The construction of new, improved self and other methods of destruction is no longer relevant.
Human consciousness has evolved for a purpose. Naturally many interpretations of why and when are kicked around daily in every culture every day, much of the reasoning is logical, well-grounded and often simply feels right. For example human consciousness has evolved in order to create tools, to understand God, to explain the theory of everything, to find out how to optimize life and so on. I believe all of these are true and many more but to explain half the purposes of consciousness is beyond the scope this work. For the purpose of this work consciousness evolved to improve the quality of life for humankind as a whole.
The following pages will be devoted to the actions that need to be taken to achieve this end.
